Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Mourning Glory

As Mourning Glory, Jen McNertney works as a non-skating official with Harbor City Roller Derby. This Saturday night, Mourning Glory and the rest of the Harbor City Roller Derby crew will be at Duluth Heritage Sports Center for "Mayday Mayhem" - a bout against the Dirty Ores. Doors will open at 5pm with action starting at 6pm.

Long before discovering the world of roller derby, Mourning Glory's first album purchase was made as a kindergartener with saved-up birthday money. Her first concert was not long after; a daddy-daughter date to see a mutually favorite artist. And her guilty pleasure song is by a band that wasn't always a favorite, but while working with at Minnesota Legislature she changed her tune. "I came to appreciate the joy."
