Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Mason Jennings

With a star outside of First Avenue in Minneapolis and a deep history of performances and albums over the last three decades, Mason Jennings has become a significant part of the Minnesota music culture. Mason is back in Duluth this weekend for a solo performance at Sacred Heart on Saturday night, November 29th at 8pm.

Even before moving to Minnesota, Mason was motivated to make his first album purchase a classic one by a Minneapolis musician. The first live concert he attended as a youth in Pittsburgh involved a lot of energy, some appropriate hair, and a music video. And as guilty pleasures go, Mason has an affinity for a musician that some folks readily reject. "That classic rock stuff is right up my alley."
