For this edition of Minnesota Reads, your usual host changes roles. Luke Moravec sits down in the interviewee chair as the author of Ghost Town Run.
The tale is a blend of mystery, monsters, races, time oddities, and humor. Moravec places Ghost Town Run in the crosshairs of an x-axis of Scooby-Doo and a y-axis of H.P. Lovecraft for this all-ages novel.
Beyond the supernatural elements, Moravec draws from his past involvement with cross country running. "This is a book about endurance," says Moravec. "[It is about] how to dig deeper into that well and figure out how that next step is going to happen."
Luke Moravec will be at Zenith Bookstore for a meet and greet on Saturday, October 25th from 11AM to 1PM. Ghost Town Run can be found at Chester Creek Books and Zenith Bookstore, as well as online.
Additionally, he'll be at the Writer's Salon at Wussow's on November 20th and at Witches Hollow (Dunedin Avenue just north of W Lewis Street in Duluth) on Halloween night from 6-7PM.
