Even within the borders of the State of Minnesota, the landscapes can be diverse. One of the ways that this variety is highlighted is through the wildflowers.
Author Phyllis Root and photography Kelly Povo have teamed up for their second book on the subject of Minnesota Wildflowers. Chasing Wildflowers is a detailed, yet casual approach to traveling the state searching the different biomes for unique flowers. "We want people to get to know these flowers," says Root. "When you know something, you can begin to care about it and love it and take care of it."
Chasing Wildflowers can be found at many booksellers through the state and also through various online retailers, including on the University of Minnesota Press website.
