Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Tom Kasper

For 28 years, Tom Kasper has been the host for Tips for Hardy Gardeners on the 103.3 airwaves. This master gardener has gardening roots that go back to the age of seven when he was walking through an alley in his hometown of Bismark, North Dakota where he found a discarded plant and nurtured it back to life. The hobby stuck and became a lifelong passion.

For Tom, music has also been a lifelong passion. His first album is still his favorite album to this day. The first live concert he attended was accidentally chemically-enhanced. And his guilty pleasure song was deftly added to the playlist at dances in his hometown. "In Bismark it was actually banned from the radio station because it was a little bit too provocative."

Back Tracks receives support from Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union. You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
