Storytime goes outdoors with the new StoryWalk at Billings Park. The project is an effort from the Friends of the Superior Library to offer a family activity in the oft-used park and to memorialize two ling-time members of the organization.
"A StoryWalk - the concept is that different pages of a children's book are displayed at different stations... along a pathway," explains Ellen Kreidler, President of the Friends of the Superior Library. Going forward, a new story will be changed in every four weeks during the spring, summer, and fall.
The new StoryWalk is not only an interactive way for families to experience storytelling outdoors, but it's also a memorial to commemorate Katherine Schulz and Sue Christensen, two long-time members of Friends of the Superior Library.
The ribbon cutting for the StoryWalk (and the unveiling of the first story to be displayed) is happening at 11am on Monday, June 2nd at the Billings Park boat launch.

You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
