While tickets are no longer being sold, the NAACP's Freedom Fund Dinner is one of the most important events of the year for the organization.
"The Freedom Fund Dinner is [the] NAACP's biggest fundraiser of the year," said Lindquist. "We use the funds to host our other events like MLK [Day], Juneteenth, and other community events."
Profits will also go to the NAACP's non-profit Ignite, Empower, Transform.
The event, emceed by Carl Crawford, will start at 4:30 for a social hour. Dinner will be served at 5:30.
The dinner portion of the event will last until 8:00pm, at which point musical act Nur-D will be performing a free concert in the Harborside Ballroom at the DECC. Tickets to the dinner are no longer available, but the concern is free and open for everyone to enjoy.
