From an early age, author Brielle Jenson was introduced to and made familiar with birth. "When I was four... I had attended a birth," says Jenson. "We lived in a hippie commune and there were lots of women having babies."
In her book Confessions of a Midwife, Jenson shares her journey through the healthcare profession, as well as a variety of personal stories from her time working with women in labor. "I loved midwifery... I tell about 70 patient stories [in the book]."
Jenson will be visiting the Northland in February. You can find the author and the book at Zenith Bookstore on Saturday, February 15th from 1-3pm. Confessions of a Midwife is also available online.
Minnesota Reads is produced at The North 103.3 with funding provided in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
