Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Cameron Mathews

Not everyone gets the chance to play in front of an audience of kayakers, canoeists and sailboats. Cameron Mathews and his band Life Parade will be performing along with Ross Thorn at Glensheen's Concerts on the Pier on Wednesday, August 21st. When not supplying vocals, guitar and keyboard for Life Parade, Cameron keeps busy with other musical projects and with his job as an engineer and board operator with WDSE.

Whether or not it was influential in his own music development, his first album was the eclectic soundtrack to a notable 90s movie. His first concert was a family trip to Bayfront to see one of his dad's favorite bands. And his guilty pleasure song includes a piano part that he has since mastered, despite not being able to read sheet music. "The second I heard that song I went and learned it."
