The 2018 Richard Paul Teske Sieur du Lhut Creativity Conference is happening Monday, Oct. 15, and the public is invited to attend. With two talented creative professionals speaking on the role of creativity across cultures and disciplines, the conference serves as an annual resource for students, faculty, artists and the greater community to better connect their creativity with the work they do.
Speaking this year are Amy Whitiker and Sura Al-Naimi. Al-Naimi is an expert on innovation and "design thinking for brands and organizations and co-founder of WeOverMe" according to the conference website.
And joining us on Radio Gallery is Amy Whitaker, Professor of Arts Administration at NYU. With a focus on both creativity and business, and holding an MFA and an MBA, she shares stories from her second book called "Art Thinking."
At the Creativity Conference Whitaker will be sharing more about the intersection of economics and the arts and how creativity is the driver of innovation, no matter your area of work. Listen for a preview.
The Sieur du Lhut Creativity Conference begins at 7 p.m. in Bohannon room 90 at UMD and is free and open to the public.
