The Bill Frisell Trio played at Sound in downtown Duluth on May 18th, 2018. Bill Frisell is a renowned guitarist, composer and arranger who has made a variety of recordings over the past few decades, both as a solo artist and as a collaborator with many different types of musicians.
His latest album is a solo project titled Music IS on the Okeh/Sony Masterworks label.
KUMD's Chris Harwood had a conversation with Bill Frisell a few weeks ago by telephone, and they discussed his approach to songwriting and arranging, and his lifelong connection to the Northland.
