This Saturday is the 10th North Shore Iron Pour and scratch block workshop:The Bob Dylan Manhole Project. It begins at noon and continues until 6 p.m. and will take place at the Old Duluth Armory on London Road across from the Rose Garden.

Radio Gallery 09-28-2011: Jeffrey Kalstrom
Kalstrom joins Radio Gallery this week to share details about the 10th North Shore Iron Pour that takes place on Saturday, October 1st at the Duluth Armory on London Road. He shares the origins of this event, the ways it has developed throughout the years, and what the event entails. There will be a Scratch Block Workshop that goes from noon-4p.m. that allows the opportunity to carve into a shaped block to create an iron tile, and the iron pour takes place from 2p.m.- 6p.m. During this event, artist Heidie Geyer's Bob Dylan-themed design will be installed. The proceeds of this event will go to Common Language, which is a regional nonprofits artists organization.
