Radio Gallery 4-06-11: Rob K-S

This week on Radio Gallery, Rob K-S, a student at the University of Minnesota Duluth, shares his experiences in creating his senior exhibit titled Exercises in Style. The title is from a collection of 99 variations of the same story which was written by Raymond Queneau. The exhibit consists of 99 individual circles displayed on the ground in a rigid grid pattern with each circle represented in various styles. Rob K-S shares his ideas about the simplicity in art as being both painfully complex and achingly beautiful. He explains the beginning process of his exhibit and the evolution of the project as a whole. Exercises in Style is on display at the Tweed Museum of Art at the University of Minnesota Duluth located at 1201 Ordean Court Duluth, MN and is open Tuesday from 9am-8pm; Wednesday-Friday from 9am-4:30pm and weekends from 1pm-5pm.
