Homegrown Live from Studio A: Thor Leseman

A smiling man stands in front of a dark blue wall with The North 103.3 FM written on it in white lettering. His hands lean on the headstock of a guitar that is standing up in front of him.

This Iron Range native grew up around music; his dad Tim performed with Rich Mattson, longtime musician and owner of Sparta Sound, in one of his earliest bands and his brother played in Duluth bands. We talked with Leseman about his own music on April 28, 2025, in advance of his set at Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival the same night, and he shared some tunes with us. The singer/songwriter also told us about his recent trip to New York City, where he had the chance to play some gigs.

Coverage of the 2025 Homegrown Music Festival was made possible by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and by Music Go Round.
