The Labor Day Weekend 2019 Pride Celebration

 The Labor Day Weekend 2019 Pride Celebration starts early on Thursday with Mayor Emily Larson's reception at 5pm. This is an annual event hosted by local government representatives and other nearby mayors. Enjoy live music, food, cocktails as well as a brief presentation to honor outstanding contributors to the GLBTQAI2S Community. There are free snacks and a cash bar is available as well.

Friday the 30th there is a film screening of "From Selma to Stonewall - Are we there yet?". This 60-minute documentary follows "a black, straight preacher and a white, lesbian activist" as they search for an intersection between the Civil Rights Movement and the LGBTQ Equality movement. Later in the evening, The Flame Nightclub is hosting Party X starting at 9pm.

Saturday the 31st - Pride Festival happens at Bayfront starting at 11am, featuring artists such as South of Superior, Venus DeMars and All the Pretty Horses, Moonthorn, Hot Pink Hangover and Press Game. Keep the fun rolling into the night; The Flame Nightclub and The Main Club are teaming up for Pride on Tower Ave for the Pride Block Party. The proceeds from the event will go to Duluth-Superior Pride which helps the festival stay alive every year.
Sunday the 1st - Pride Parade in Superior starting at 12pm on Tower Ave featuring floats of all colors and sizes. There's also a "Foo Foo Choo Choo" which is a three hour scenic train ride up the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. This is a annual 21+ party with food included, cash bar, live dj, dancing, and amazing views while you travel on the rails of the North Shore Scenic Railroad. Arrive at The Depot early and enjoy a free Pre-boarding Party from 2pm to 3:30pm with music and a bar.
