6/4 Forever Home

Pat Castellano of Animal Allies talks about adopting special needs animals like Charlie Brown.

  •  Atlas is a handsome four year old black Labrador mix who is looking for a home to call his own. He is a friendly boy who would love to go for a hike and then curl up with you at the end of the day. Atlas is a happy dog with a winning smile and a positive outlook on life. Atlas has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
  • Charlie Brown is a lovable brown tabby who came to Animal Allies from another rescue! He has an adorable "beauty mark" spot right next to his nose and a sweet purr-sonality. Charlie Brown is a large cat who is a little shy until you give him a gentle rub, then he's your new best friend! He will need an extra special home that is able to help him manage his diabetes. Charlie Brown has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated
  • Naomi is a 3 1/2 year old calico domestic long hair. She came to us as a transfer from a different shelter and is now looking for her new loving home! Naomi has the softest, most beautiful fur we have ever seen! She will let you pet her all day long as she stares at you with those big, beautiful green eyes. She has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
  • T-Bone is a 3 yr old male Beagle. T-bone was removed from a home with 53 other Beagles. He is shy yet, and needs to gain your trust. He is very affectionate once he knows you. He has never growled or snapped at anyone, he just doesn't know who to trust. He is a beautiful boy. He has been neutered, vet checked and vaccinated.

Lisa Johnson started her broadcast career anchoring the television news at her high school and spinning country music at KWWK/KOLM Radio in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a reporter and news anchor at KTHI in Fargo, ND (not to mention the host of a children's program called "Lisa's Lane") and a radio reporter and anchor in Moorhead, Bismarck, Wahpeton and Fergus Falls.Since 1991, she has hosted Northland Morning on KUMD. One of the best parts of her job includes "paying it forward" by mentoring upcoming journalists and broadcasters on the student news team that helps produce Northland Morning. She also loves introducing the different people she meets in her job to one another, helping to forge new "community connections" and partnerships.Lisa has amassed a book collection weighing over two tons, and she enjoys reading, photography, volunteering with Animal Allies Humane Society and fantasizing about farmland. She goes to bed at 8pm, long before her daughter, two cats, or three dogs.
