Sarah Austin Jenness

Sarah Austin Jenness joined The Moth in 2005 and serves as its Executive Producer. Over the past two decades, she has worked with hundreds of storytellers to shape and refine their personal narratives for stages across the world. She is also one of the hosts of the Peabody Award–winning The Moth Radio Hour.

Jenness launched The Moth’s Global Community Program, leading storytelling workshops in the United States and Africa that illuminate issues such as family homelessness and public health. Stories she has directed have been featured during the United Nations General Assembly and performed as far afield as the Kenya National Theatre.

Her work is grounded in the belief that stories create connection, and that connection has the power to change the world.
