
Raina Douris
Host of "World Cafe"Raina Douris is a Canadian radio broadcaster and music journalist, best known as the host of NPR’s World Cafe, a nationally syndicated program that explores contemporary and classic music through interviews and performances.
Originally from Stouffville, Ontario, Douris studied radio and television broadcasting at Ryerson University before launching her career in Canadian radio. She worked at 102.1 The Edge, CBC Radio 3, and Indie88, where she was named Best Local Radio Personality in Toronto two years in a row.
Before joining World Cafe in 2019, she hosted Mornings on CBC Music and served as a jury member for the Polaris Music Prize and Juno Awards. Her deep knowledge of music and engaging interview style have made her a respected voice in the industry.
