Jenifer Hixson
Senior Director, Director and Co-hostJenifer Hixson is a Senior Director at The Moth and one of the hosts of the Peabody Award winning Moth Radio Hour. Each year, she works with hundreds of storytellers, helping them identify pivotal moments in their lives, including missteps, breakthroughs, leaps of faith, and difficult chapters, and shape those experiences into stories for the stage.
In 2000, Hixson launched The Moth StorySLAM, which has grown into a full time presence in 25 cities across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The program now provides thousands of opportunities for people to share their stories.
Her own story, “Where There’s Smoke,” has been featured on The Moth Radio Hour, This American Life, and in The Moth’s first book, The Moth: 50 True Stories.
