Billy Henry
Host of “StarDate”Billy Henry is a voice talent, musician, composer, and college lecturer based in Austin, Texas. Since July 2019, he has been the host of StarDate, the longest-running national radio science feature, airing on more than 300 radio stations.
Henry has an extensive background in music composition, sound design, and audio production, having worked on projects for film, television, and commercial clients. He has written or mixed music for brands like Chili’s, AT&T, and Southwest Airlines, and composed the score for the film American Detective.
Beyond his work in radio and music, Henry is a lecturer at Texas State University, where he teaches courses on music production, mixing for TV and film, and desktop audio production. He has also toured internationally as a musician and engineer with artists such as Shakira and The Chicks.
