Scanlan is a Montana-based Americana singer/songwriter who was formerly in The Reeltime Travelers, a group that appeared on the Cold Mountain soundtrack. She's been collaborating with Neufeld, a Portland, Oregon musician, for several years. He produced and plays on her latest album (her fourth), The River and the Light. We found out more about the making of the album and the duo shared some tunes when they joined us in the studio on January 25. They performed later the same night at Beaner's Central in Duluth.
