5/3 Live From Studio A: Amy Abts

Amy Abts

Abts was one of the performers at the very first Duluth Homegrown Music Festival twenty years ago. She performed solo and as part of indie rockers The State Champs in her years on the Duluth music scene before moving away. Although serious medical issues through the years have hindered her ability to perform regularly, Abts had always come back to music, recently releasing her first solo album in seventeen years. We looked forward to welcoming her back to the studio on May 3; she performed on May 5th at RT Quinlan's Saloon as part of the Duluth Homegrown Music Festival.
