Emerson is a rural Wisconsin native who's toured nationally and released her third album, Wake Me When the Wind Dies Down earlier this year. Morris spent time making music in Nashville before settling in Minneapolis. The two have been on the road together with what they're calling their "Highways & Heartstrings Tour." We talked about their latest albums and the challenges of balancing parenthood with playing music, and how their songwriting has changed since having kids.
