This Duluth musician, massage therapist, and spiritual seeker joined us for a session on December 11, 2015. She shared some songs and talked about her forthcoming album, Maiden America; she describes its sound as "ethereal folk music with a story to tell." While her previous album, 2011's Bird by Bird, was a collaboration with other songwriters, the new disc features only Kristy's original tunes brought to life with her band, the forget me nots, featuring local musicians Jim Hall and Mark Glen (Charlie Parr also makes an appearance on the album).
She performed December 12 at Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum in Duluth and has an official CD release show at the Red Herring in Duluth on Wednesday, December 16 at 8pm.
