Having done time with the Dum Dum Girls, Crystal Stilts, and the Vivian Girls, Frankie Rose certainly has her indie credentials in order. Her new band, Frankie Rose & The Outs, offers a promising, self-titled debut that slightly deviates from the lo-fi tendencies of her past, By Basement DJ the Doctor
though fans of Rose's previous outings will not be disappointed. The band's usually-clean, reverb-laden hooks and driving '60s-style harmonies make the album immediately accessible. Rose has proven that she doesn't need to rely to her predominately fuzzed out background to create an addicting, up-beat, guitar-pop album.
