There's plenty to see in nature right now, and there's just a little bit more sunlight each day by which to see it. The days are noticeably longer since the solstice almost a month ago.
The birds at the feeder, though still interesting to watch, are becoming fairly regular. Blue Jays and Red Poles are among the common visitors. And with the new snow, it's time again to watch for animal tracks. Recently, Larry Weber spotted the unmistakable tracks of a hungry muskrat dragging its tail behind.
