Minneapolis band, Sigcell, embraces their shapeshifting ways and returns with Transhuman, an album miles from the alt‐americana sound of 2019’s Pile of Ghosts but just around the corner and down a dirty alley from their electronically dense debut, The Poet. Drawn from the band’s many influences such as Pixies, Elbow, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Cure, Transhuman evolves the traditions of alt, psych, and prog rock.
