Fifty years after the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Superior native and Stevens Point–based singer/songwriter John Harry returns home for a special afternoon of music at Earth Rider’s Cedar Lounge Taproom. The tribute will feature multiple performances of Gordon Lightfoot’s The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, alongside other Lightfoot favorites, spirited seafaring and swashbuckling tunes, and a few of John’s own originals.

This free show honors the legacy of the Great Lakes’ most famous shipwreck while celebrating the power of song and storytelling. Performance tips from the event will benefit Friends of the Fitz, a local effort to erect a historical marker on the shore where the Fitzgerald began its final voyage.
