Katelyn Brinza's road to radio started with a favor. The current host of Northland Afternoon and The Local visited the student radio activities fair table her freshman year only to accompany a timid friend. Soon after joining the student marketing team for the station, Katelyn was fooled into learning the skills of an on-air host - something she initially had zero interest in. And so it goes.
Katelyn's wide range of musical interests also comes bundled with a hefty helping of self-defined embarrassment. Her first album stemmed from her early Screamo/Christian days. Her first concert was a gift from her dad - who ended up enjoying the concert along with the thousands of 6th grade girls in attendance. And her guilty pleasure song brings the drama. "It's noodled into my brain, and it will never leave."
