10/28 Radio Gallery: Woodland Skirts Project

Deer Skirt
Delina White

On Friday October 30, The UMD Tweed Museum of Art welcomes a lively presentation, fashion show and reception called "Great Lakes Woodland Skirts Project."

This fascinating and visionary project crosses generations, cultures and joins communities around the Great Lakes in this under-told and under-documented story. Their skirts and other work tell stories of women and a culture but this is not just history, it is a vision for the future. Created by Delina White and her daughters Sage and Lavender, this show has been presented around Minnesota and has its final 2015 iteration here in Duluth, this Friday from 6-9 p.m. There will be food and wine, music, an historical slideshow presentation and a fashion show. The Tweed Museum of Art is located at UMD and is free and open to the public.
