  • This Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Kruk Gallery of the Holden Fine Arts Center at UWS is the opening of the Senior Capstone Exhibition, artwork of graduation senior students of the UWS Visual Arts Department.
  • Also, at the Project Gallery of the Holden Fine Arts Center at UWS, this is the last week to see an exhibition of the works of Jake Tremble. The exhibition closes on Friday.
  • On Wednesday May 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Nordic Center in downtown Duluth is a rosemaling class with Tara Austin. Tara has given three other classes earlier this year; this is the fourth, but attending the earlier workshops is not required.
  • Speaking of rosemaling, a class on the Gudbrandsdal style of rosemaling will be held at the Duluth Folk School on Friday May 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
