Where's Art: Communication and Language

"We often don't realize that visual art is a form of communication," says Annie Dugan who took the time to focus on communication in art as it pertains to some current event.

A memoriam by Jim Richardson is the first "communication" piece of note. Richardson recently posted on Perfect Duluth Day an essay for artist Max Moen. "It's a beautiful tribute to the role of art in friendship and the role of art in... connecting people," says Dugan.

Over at the Tweed Museum of art, patrons can view Doors of Perception. The exhibit is part of the Tweed's permanent collection which includes works by four different printmakers. "Each artist has a folio on view," says Dugan. "Each of these artists takes language and interprets it visually and in an interesting way."

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
