The power of Lake Superior is on display in the works of Karen Owsley Nease, all part of the Downtown Duluth Arts Walk happening this Friday. The Joseph Nease Gallery is showing her exhibition "Elemental Forces," a series of oil paintings focusing on water, up through Saturday, Nov. 3.
The Duluth Downtown Arts Walk, started last summer, has been an exciting addition to exhibition openings in Duluth, offering a new and relaxed way to enjoy local art. Over 20 local arts-related spaces, galleries, organizations and businesses invite the public to stop in between 5 and 8 p.m. to discover local art in downtown. Although winter is near, there are plans for late November and early December events.
The Joseph Nease Gallery, hosting a talk at 6 p.m. with the artistic collaborators, painter Karen Owsley Nease and choreographer Laura Goodman, is located at 23 W 1st Street in Duluth.
