Naomi Christenson 2016

One current exhibit at the Duluth Art Institute truly celebrates multimedia art. The show is Pattern Conspiracy by Duluth based graphic designer, painter and dancer Naomi Christenson.  Her work combines large-scale paintings inspired by the intrinsic patterns in nature with a choreographed dance performance, which expanded and reiterates patterns in mood and movement.

The paintings of Naomi Christenson are up at The Depot through June 23 plus you can view the performance at the link below.

Former Program Director, Maija Jenson teaches journalism in the Department of Communication at UMD and was a part of KUMD 2008-2019. She hosted a weekly arts program "Radio Gallery." She shares a lifetime of public radio listening, degrees in journalism and art and 20 years of public radio experience with KFAI, WHA, WSUM and KUMD.
