Talking about environmental concerns frequently devolves into a conversation along the lines of, "If we stop doing this, people will lose jobs."
In a recently-released report entitled "Too Hot to Work," the Union of Concerned Scientists demonstrates that if we don't start figuring climate change into the mix, increasing heat and humidity will make it unsafe to work outside more often.
And that could cost Minnesotans up to $391 million in wages.
And while there are many state and local ordinances laying out what you're required to provide your dog if they're outside (easy access to food, shelter, shade and water) there are no corresponding ordinances requiring the same for people who work outside.
