Several celebrations and openings this week throughout Duluth (but especially downtown) might require some forethought and pacing. Prepare for a marathon of event on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday, July 13th starts out with two mural celebrations. A dedication for the work created by Jonathan Thunder is scheduled at 4pm at Zenith Bookstore. The unveiling of a work by Adam Swanson begins at 5pm at the Depot.

Annex Du Nord is the venue for Jason Huntsinger's latest collection. "Royal Ghost Town" is the artist's latest series of photographs. "You look at the colors in the images and you see wonderful rich browns and greys," says Dugan. The opening takes place from 6pm to 10pm on Thursday at 217 W. 1st Street in Duluth.

On Friday, Prøve Gallery presents "Untethered" by Patricia Canelake. "She has these rough paintings that tell the story of animals that we partner with," says Annie Dugan. The opening reception is from 6pm-9pm.
