Duluth's fee for single-use plastic carryout bags goes into effect today, (and aren't you glad now you took thatKUMD reuseable bag as a thank you gift?) but it's been a long slog for Jamie Harvie and other members ofBag It Duluth.

In the four years since the idea of the fee was introduced, though - and in particular through the last two years of the pandemic, Harvie says people are looking for meaningful actions, but they're also thinking about how to "connect with the sacred" and thinking about the generations yet to come.
