Larry Weber has already been out this morning. It seems he enjoyed his walk.

The recent rainfall has made for dewier mornings and more chances to see spider webs in the daylight. The winds out of the northwest have made good tailwinds for migrating birds - yesterday alone, Hawk Ridge observers counted over 10,000! As we approach the autumnal equinox, Larry has seen many trees showing color, including black ash. Many hawthorns have dropped their leaves but are now showing the (literal) fruits of their labors. Sunflowers, asters and goldenrods are in bloom, and apples, crabapples and high bush cranberries are ripening too.
