Heidi Jensen

UMD graduate and drawing professor Heidi Jensen speaks with Radio Gallery in advance of her UMD visit and public lecture happening Tuesday, March 24. Jensen creates delightful and insightful drawings that  hedge on the bizarre but seem uncomfortably normal. Listen as she shares more about her journey, methods, inspirations and surrealistic influences.

With a BFA from UMD, Jensen continued her career in the arts and is now a drawing professor at Ball State University. She is looking forward to returning to UMD to share her work in teaching, drawing and painting with current students in the Art & Design School. She is speaking at UMD as a part of the Visual Culture Lecture Series Tuesday March 24, at 6pm in Montague Hall.
