This week on Radio Gallery, photographic collage artist Debra Roinestad shares her experiences in creating art as a form of healing. She is a member of the Women's Art Registry of Minnesota (WARM) which is located in St. Paul Minnesota.

Radio Gallery 3-23-11: Debra Roinestad
Radio Gallery celebrates Women's History Month with women artists all month long. This week we continue with artists in the WARM member exhibit on display through March in Minneapolis' Grain Belt Bottling House 79 13th Street NE, Minneapolis, MN. Roinestad, a member of WARM, is a photographic collage artist whose work is made to have a meaningful and healing effect. Her art is made through strong concepts and a solid structure which Roinestad creates by reaching deep into her childhood. In doing so she is able to pull out concepts of nature, healing, time, and resilience to express the idea that time is on our side. Roinestad shares her experiences of being involved in WARM and explains the ways in which they work together in order to apply their talents and help others in the community.
