Although he's relatively unknown outside of indie music circles, this Duluth native has been cited as an influence by Conor Oberst and listed as one of the 10 best living songwriters by NPR. He joined us in the studio on January 11, 2017 to share songs from his 9th and latest studio album, Inside the Cat's Eye. We talked about his childhood in Duluth and the many places he's lived since, including a recent year spent working on a marijuana farm in California, and about the making of the new album.
