Radio Gallery 11-30-2012 Local Holiday Art Sales

"The Artcracker"

We have now wrapped up our Fall Studio Series, and we are gearing up for winter. Several of the artists we feature are doing the same, as many of them prepare for their winter showcases. Local art openings are a wonderful way to get out into the community, and an opportunity to find beautiful handmade Christmas gifts.

Several Northshore studios are now hosting their holiday exhibits. This Saturday, December 1st, the "Get it Local Gift Fair" will be at the Peace Church from 10am to 3pm. This same day the Superior Council for the Arts kicks off their "Annual Artists Market" with refreshments and art from 10am to 5pm. On Saturday, December 8th, the Washington Gallery celebrates the holidays by providing live music, performing artists, and art on every wall from 11am to 5pm. Also on December 8th, the Duluth Art Institute presents their Annual Pottery Sale, featuring ceramics and live jugband music from 9am to 5pm. Listen for more information about about all of the wonderful holiday art exhibits happening in our area.
