Among the many accomplishments of New York singer/songwriter Jeff Slate is co-founding the 1980’s mod/punk band the Mindless Thinkers, opening for Sheryl Crow on her Tuesday Night Music Club tour, and writing about music and culture for publications including the New Yorker and Rolling Stone. He’s written regularly about Bob Dylan, recently interviewing the man himself about his latest book, The Philosophy of Modern Song, for the Wall Street Journal.
He and renowned guitarist Mark Bosch performed the same night at Sacred Heart Music Center as part of the Duluth Dylan Festival.
