These country-rock pioneers got their start in Ohio in the mid-'60s. They would go on to release several classic albums through the '70s and '80s, and top the charts with songs including "Amie" and "Let Me Love You Tonight." The band's lineup has gone through many iterations through the years; the current group features founding member and pedal steel, banjo, and dobro player John David Call along with newer members drummer/vocalist Scott Thompson, keyboard player and vocalists Randy Harper, bassist and vocalist Jared Camic, and guitarist and vocalist Jeff Zona. Thompson, Harper, Camic, and Zona joined us in the studio on March 15, 2023 to perform two stripped-down versions of songs they'd be performing as a full band later that night and the following night) at the West Theatre in Duluth and talk about what it's like to join an iconic band with such a long history.
