Canned Heat are the headliners for Duluth's Bayfront Blues Festivalon Friday, August 12, 2022. The band has a long and fascinating history, from playing at Woodstock to working with some of their musical heroes, including John Lee Hooker, to losing members through the years. Drummer Fito de la Parra documented it all in his book Living the Blues. Now the only remaining member from the classic lineup of the band, de la Parra spoke with the North 103.3's Christine Dean about his history with the group, the blues musicians who inspired him, and the band's current lineup.
