What color is Mars? Red, right?
Bob King queried followers about the color of Mars. The answers varied and became quite poetic: golden with a hint of rose, salmon pink, warm citrine... the list goes on. How would you describe the color of Mars.
The Red Planet is at the front of mind largely because it's closer than usual right now. It's in opposition and is currently "only" 60 million miles from Earth. Mars will also be playing a quick game of hide and seek with the moon soon. On the 13th, during the Full Wolf Moon, the Moon will pass over Mars over the course of an hour.
Venus will be visible in a big way in the coming days - so much so that it will appear even before sunset. Next week, on the 17th and 18th, Venus will be sharing the spotlight as it starts buddying up with the planet Saturn.
And just in case you're getting too much info from certain social media sources, there is NOT a planetary lineup happening on January 25th. Check your sources!
