Backyard Almanac: Gray November

A Tundra Swan in water

Ice? There's been some. Snow? Not much.

November hasn't been very typical so far, with the exception of the gray skies. But even in the midst the of darker days and cloud cover, there are still vibrant things to see.

In the cosmos, the full moon is on display. In the skies, there are still many birds moving about, including Bald Eagles, ducks and Tundra Swans. And closer to the ground, mice are starting to scramble about for warmer areas - this often includes human domiciles.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
