A year ago tomorrow, Duluth set a heat record for October 9. Quite a feat, especially in the midst of the 5th coldest October on record.
On October 10, 2009, Duluth got a substantial snowfall, which meant leaf-peepers got to enjoy the fall colors through a blanket of snow.
And of course, the end of the month is the 30th anniversary of the Mega-Storm.
From plovers to pipits, ashes and aspens, sharpies and sparrows, plus the visitor of whom Larry remarked, "I can't believe he ate the whole thing," Larry has our natural week in review.
