"We have the opportunity to showcase something really special," says Clif Nesseth of the Nordic Music Workshop Series which features renown fiddler Paul Dahlin "You can't pass that up."
Since November, the Nordic Center of Duluth has been hosting afternoon workshops at their downtown location every third Sunday of the month. For participants, requirements are few: bring a rhythm instrument and something to record with. "You'll want to get that down," says Mary Londborg who is a fiddler also involved with the workshop. "You learn it, yeah, but then you'll have it so you can listen to it and play along with it, and really learn the feeling, that Swedish feeling."
The Nordic Music Workshop Series goes through April. The next session takes place on Sunday, January 21st from 2-4pm at the Nordic Center of Duluth at 23 North Lake Avenue in downtown Duluth.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
