And a bonus nautical riddle...

A large bay has a peculiar ebb and flow to its water level. Overnight, the water rises by three feet. During the day, it goes down by a foot, except on Saturdays when it goes down by five feet.
There is a large ship that arrives in the bay just before sunset on Tuesday. The gunwales of the boat are currently 14 feet above the surface of the water. How many days and nights will it take before the water breeches the edges and sinks the boat?

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
